Gregg has reunited with Greg Weisman ("Gargoyles") on a new audio book project called Rain of the Ghosts. You can find the link to the book here: Rain of the Ghosts. It's available in paperback or for Kindle.

Now, about that audio book... it's actually more of an audio play, with a full cast, and there's a Kickstarter campaign to finance it. Just a few of the other actors involved are Thom Adcox, Ed Asner, Brent Spiner, and Marina Sirtis. The audio work is done, but they need help to finance actually getting the final product out to people like us who would love to listen. So check out the Kickstarter campaign here: Rain of the Ghosts - Kickstarter and chip in if you can. There are some nice perks, including audio downloads and soundtracks, scripts, or even dinner with Greg Weisman.

Gregg has done some more voice work on the animated series "Young Justice." His character, Tye Longshadow, recently made a second appearance in the episode titled "Runaways." This is episode #14 of Season 2 and it's available to download ($1.99) from Amazon Instant Video Young Justice - Runaways. You can also find it on YouTube, though it's broken into 5 parts. The link to Part 1: Young Justice - Runaways Part 1. And watch for the episode entitled "Hunt" which is scheduled to premier on February 23. Young Justice currently airs Saturdays at 10:30am (Eastern) - check your local listings. Alas, it appears that the Cartoon Network is not renewing Young Justice, so we may not see/hear more of Tye longshadow after this.

Also, for fans of The Young Riders, Season 3 was recently released on DVD. The DVDs contain only the episodes, no extras, and for some reason the episodes aren't even presented in order, but it's still a nice set. Amazon has it listed for $12.99 - though it is temporarily out of stock as of this posting. You can still order the set and it will be shipped when they have more stock. You can find the information here: The Young Riders - Season 3. Season 2 is reportedly still tied up over music rights, but if you search on Amazon, you can sign up to be notified when it becomes available.

Gregg recently did some voice work on the animated series "Young Justice." His character is Tye Longshadow - no word yet if there's any relationship to the Longshadow character he voiced on Justice League Unlimited. The episode title is "Beneath" and it aired 26 May 2012. Without giving too much away, it's not a huge part - though the ending leaves open the definite possibility that viewers will see Tye Longshadow again. This is episode #5 of Season 2 and it's available to download ($1.99) from Amazon Instant Video Young Justice - Beneath. You can also find it on YouTube, though it's broken into 5 parts. The link to Part 1: Young Justice - Beneath Part 1.

A little Christmas gift for Gregg Rainwater fans!!!

I was doing some searching on the internet, and found a site where you can download "How Does Anyone Get Old?" -- the short film Gregg did in 1999. In addition to the short film itself, there's also an interview with the director, Janet Mitchell.

A couple of interesting items from the interview:
     * The part of "Gene" was actually written with Gregg in mind.
     * Gregg filmed "Ocean Tribe" in the middle of this project -- when he came back with a shaved head, Janet had to have a custom wig made for him!
     * When the interview was filmed in 2002, Janet had another film project coming up with Gregg set to appear in it. Alas, the project apparently never got made.

To find the short film go to the One Angry Film site.

Scroll about 2/3 of the way down the page, and on the left-hand side look for a graphic link that says TIGHT SHORTS Now Podcasting. Click on the link to download the short film series. ("How Does Anyone Get Old?" is Episode #7.)

NOTE: You do need iTunes for this. If you don't already have iTunes, clicking on the link will take you to the site where you can download it.

Both TIVO and TV Guide are listing a repeat showing of "Ultimatum" on the schedule for December 11, 2004, at 1:00 pm EST. Cartoon Network does not show this on their schedule as of now, but check local listings, or verify the date closer to December 11 directly on the Cartoon Network site.

23 November 2004

Cartoon Network is listing "Ultimatum" on the schedule for December 4, 2004, at 8:30 pm EST. Check local listings, or verify the date closer to December 4 directly on the Cartoon Network site.

14 November 2004

Watch for Justice League Unlimited on the Cartoon Network. Specifically, look for Episode #61, "Ultimatum" -- where Gregg will voice the character of Longshadow. Longshadow is one of the Ultimen, a group of young heroes, each with his or her own special powers. But the Ultimen are about to learn the secret of their own origins, a secret that will threaten both them and the Justice League.

Justice League Unlimited airs on the Cartoon Network on Saturdays at 8:30 pm EST. The episode "Ultimatum" was originally going to air on December 4, 2004. Now the same source is showing an air date of December 11, 2004. The Cartoon Network website doesn't show the schedule that far ahead yet. So check your own local listings, or Cartoon Network to verify the date. (NOTE: "Ultimatum" is Episode #9 in the current season, which is how it's listed by Cartoon Network.)

This episode has already aired on Canadian television. Based on early reports, Longshadow joins forces with the Justice League at the end of this episode. Let's hope that the character is well-received, and that Longshadow makes more appearances with the Justice League!
